Is there anything better on the market for a packable wood stove? I will be using mules to pack an Argali Yukon tent and going as light as possible. The temps are usually in the twenties at night, but single digits are possible. I do understand this will only burn for a few hours at best.

If weight is your concern I think those cylinder stoves like the TiGoat I have are much lighter.

Knico makes a collapsible one but it's going to be heavier than the one you posted. The Big Mama from SO has a big fire box and is pretty light

Well shit it sounds like @renagde owes me one since he's sold them to half of Roksldie :)
Honestly, at the price he’s sold the few he made for fun, I seriously doubt he’s made any money. You should pick one up — I think he said he’s got a few left but isn’t making any more or turning it into a proper business.

Riley makes a solid stove. They aren’t what I would call light.

I have a Titian 4dog stove that is by far the best stove I’ve used but he quit making them.

I’ll second the Knico being a pretty good piece of gear. They are affordable and fit in a pannier. The stove itself becomes a pannier box for stuff I don’t want to get crushed. I bag stuff up and put in inside the stove. It’s a lot of stove though. Depending on what size tent you have it can turn into a sauna situation.

Check out GStove from Norway-they have a US distributor. Incredible quality and very packable with stock. I pack with llamas. Stainless steel-you can stand on this stove. It is a cylinder stove that fits easily in a llama pannier. It weighs 22 lb with the pipe (also incredible quality) nested inside. Has folding grates (when folded in form handles) on each side that can be used to dry gloves, place pots, etc. Also has all kinds of attachable accessories such as clothes drying rack, oven, etc. Not as light as titanium but will outlast any of those lighter stoves. We use it in our 13x13 canvas Snowtrekker tent and it works great! I've used all kinds of stoves in the past since 1998-this stove trumps them all.
