Outstanding deal on 12x50's

Just wanted to alert the forum to a very good deal on some 12x50's.

These may not look like much on the surface, but I've now owned two pairs of these Cabelas Outfitter HD's in 10 and 8x and they are the best "no name" binoculars I've ever seen. They are made in the Kamakura plant in Japan, and the rumor is that is the same place the Zeiss Conquest HD's are made. I believe it because these are almost indistinguishable from my Zeiss Conquest HD's in image quality.

I would have already bought these but I'm not much of a 12x user so I thought I'd pass it along. If you have been looking for a budget pair of good quality 12x for glassing, these might be them. Since they are Cabelas brand, they have the Cabelas lifetime warranty. I unfortunately had to test this after my last elk hunt with my 10's and they swapped them for a new pair of Cabelas bins no questions asked.

I spent days behind those 10x in the mountains with zero eye strain and great detail.

No, not even close. The link I posted are an older model, made in Japan, not China. BIG difference.

I wouldn't take a pair of those Chinese-made "intensity" binoculars if someone handed them to me.

Be careful with Cabela's and the warranty now, ever since the Bass Pro takeover Cabela's products no longer have a lifetime warranty, all advertising of that has been removed from stores and the website. Not sure what the warranty is now for sure but no longer a lifetime (of the product) guarantee.

I figured the same thing, but when I broke my 1st pair of those Outfitter HD's (10x) they exchanged them no questions asked. I was pretty surprised because I had heard their warranty had changed, but the woman said nope, these are covered by Cabelas lifetime warranty.

I think you'd find the IQ to be similar to the BX-4's, at least that's my impression.

I'm very happy with my 8x and was totally satisfied with my 10x. I had to put them on a tripod to see any difference with my Conquest HD's, and even then I really had to look for it. Side by side my 8x43 Outfitters are definitely brighter than my 10x42 Conquests. I could spot bullet holes at 300 yards at the range with both of them, if that tells you anything.
