Was going back n looking at some pictures of around the cabin. Hunting, pretending I know how to trap. Hauling freight and just chillin. 09E7C847-A67E-4254-84C1-CD839F855A40.jpeg

This was a special day. Have our son's first and on the meat pole. Soot fires and a beverage to celebrate. 83883BE4-7567-4CE8-ADE5-61F29C513A10.jpegA5E47929-0FF4-4061-8F8D-022341F38EAF.jpeg90E99C2E-A473-4F9F-A921-91215D67E00B.jpegDFBDB3BA-EAEC-4228-8926-3DE0D2AF729C.jpeg

I wanted a 3 wheeler out there and had a totally dissamble it to fit into a 185. Beautiful wife painted to cool camo. Used the Suzuki 4 wheeler to get to the 2 miles from the lake to the cabin. I also wanted a work horse so brought a 6 wheeler out. Along with cabin stuff and extra parts for everything I can think of. Extra tires for the wheeler because the bears bite them. Plywood to build shelter for the wheelers for when we close up the cabin. Keep the bears honest.
I really enjoy working on this cabin n making it cosy for my beautiful wife and easier life for me. And the memories that pop up in my mind looking at these pictures. Like the freight sled tongue breaking off while freight the 6 wheeler. Hit a tree. The racks are off the 4 wheeler because our daughter rebuilt the carburetor n fuel pump. Also have carb kits available. After unloading the 3 wheeler it was getting dark and starting to rain. I decided to leave a couple totes at the lake for a second load. Wrong move. The bears broke them open and it rained heavy. Filling up the totes with water. Including all the little parts n pieces for the 3 wheeler. Ended up putting the 3 wheeler in the cabin and putting it together. Had to dry everything out first. But made a good memory.
We use this little cabin year round and I get to just go chill there for as long as I want or can. Couple weeks is just about right. One of the best things is just going out for a walkabout n chillin. Nobody but me n the world. And Alaska ,pretty darn cool

It sure is hard to beat, coming “home” to your little cabin in the woods, eh?
