Question, once the OTC archery license goes on sale at the first part of August, can I buy that license online, or will I have to wait until I get into Colorado and buy from an authorized agent?

Online. I always do it that way. Never seem to end up at a licensing place at a convenient time for me.

yep, as above, only thing is that cpw will take a week or two to get it to you, so make sure to order in enough time before start of season (or when you leave)

There is a place to enter the #, and the State of Issue. Once you are in Colorado, stop by any Game & Fish Office, and show them your card. They will enter the info in the computer, so your next license will be coded that you have proven compliance. I think it is a "V" that is printed on your license.
I always spend the extra dollars to have the license sent next day air. I think it was $20, but I had it in hand the next day, delivered by FedEx.

Do you know if it is just regular hunter safety, or you need a special archery hunter safety? I'm hunting archery season. Maine makes you do two safety courses

Either archery or regular hunter safety work for archery seasons. You don’t need both.
