I have what I believe is the first generation of the spline bivy by outdoor research. I love it for its simplicity but one thing that sucks is I always end up with condensation in my foot box. Is there any way around this?

I think a great modification would be to have someone add a waterproof zipper or 2 down at the bottom to allow ventilation down there. Anyone done anything like this or have a better idea?

I have the same and will be putting a zipper in the foot box. Plenty of places around will do it.
Nice post pics of the finished product. Who do you seek out for this type of work? Just like any sewing/ alteration shop? May seem like a stupid question but I’ve never had custom work done

I’ll go over to Stitchlines when I go. Feral is another option but there are a bunch of outdoor repair shops around the Denver area.

For what it’s worth Feral has done a few repairs for me on a jacket and a sil tarp that were reasonably priced and good work. Not as complicated as a zipper though
