Hello all,
Wanted to share my report for others to have a successful season.
I live in Colorado and was able to do an overnight backpack in a valley in a front range GMU before the storm came in. I was by myself and everything was wet in the morning so no wood to burn. It snowed about 6 inches between 1230 and 8 am Saturday at an elevation of just under 10k on the valley floor by a creek. No cars at trailhead and saw no one till i walked out. It was quiet and no sign of tracks/ movement between 9 and 11k elevation band. Glassing was difficult with snow fall. I woke up this morning to 8 inches of snow at my house (8300 ft). Expect to see deeper snow totals on east facing slopes. I'm hoping to get another go next weekend. I unfortunately have to work during the week.
