OnX and CarPlay

Wait, OnX now will show up on Carplay as an app to use!? I literally mounted an Ipad dash holder thing two years ago for this reason. This could be great

Works best with phone in airplane mode; no crashing like it did when I had service turned on. Offline maps are clear as the display allows. The different basemaps work as well.

If it wasn’t -17 outside I would go try it right now. I’ve been waiting for this! I have the big screen in my 22’ Ford.

It's up to 7 so I risked it but I hit the remote start a few minutes prior.

The FordPass app was one I added to the phone. I didn’t add any CarPlay app.

Gaia does this and works great. You can drive down the road and watch yourself pass parcel after parcel on the screen. It generally mirrors what appears on the phone, but every now and then the layers don't match or I can't change the arrow orientation on the CarPlay screen. Having the biggest screen possible in the vehicle pays off when using apps like this.
