Ode to "Alone Guy"

[Antarctica]

Inspired by the "how to get banned" thread, but not wanting to continue to pollute it, my creative juices (as sour as they are) got flowing.

This is my first attempt at poetry since I was last forced to do it in about eighth grade, so go easy on me....

There once was a dude on the forum
Who shot off his mouth sans decorum
He made all of us mad
But then so glad
When Ryan ban hamm-ored him

Calling in to quit my day job...

"Sit quietly alone

Falling tears in moms basement

Kicked off of Rokslide"

Given the season, I'm reminded of this quote from "A Christmas Story", when Ralphie writes his 'theme' for school...

“Oh, rarely had the words poured from my penny pencil with such feverish fluidity.”

Here I sit all broken hearted,
after posting dumb s**t that got the ban started.
Later on I took a chance, posted again and showed my hand.

Everyone could see through me,
how silly and dumb one can be.
So now I sit here all alone,
banned by one who sits on the Rokslide throne

So never again will I post dumb s**t,
at least on Rokslide, they were fed up with it.

I didn’t realize RS attracted so many renaissance men. Haikus, poetry, cuisine, killing innocent creatures... The next Shakespeare, Mozart, or Michelangelo is probably here, too.

Because I can't understand from the text where you're coming from, let me just be perfectly clear that any scoffing in the fine poetry of this thread is being directed at Alone Guy. Nothing but respect for this site and the moderators. I could care less about Alone Guy. I do however feel like I missed something in his final demise. Not challenging the boss if that's how you read it.

Keep being good and making posts like this, and maybe the admins will open the alone guy posts back up on Christmas morning for the day. Think of all the joy and holiday cheer that would bring to Roksliders across the country.
