NX8 4-32 FFP low power tunneling

I traded my Moar Nx8 for a mil-c, and now im noticing some tunneling in the zoom range between 4x and 6x that I didn't notice before with the moar scope. Is that normal and I just didn't pick up on it before or is there something up with this new scope?
