NW Oregon spring bear tips.

Hi, I’m hunting my first spring bear in the Wilson and Saddle mountain unit this year. I haven’t seen a bear during deer season. What is the best way to find them?

Which time of the day are they most active?

I live in the saddle mountain unit and that is a tough hunt. >7 year old south facing cuts with little road access, and swamps is where I find the most sign. Find the food. PM me if you need a hand tracking/packing. Found the below last weekend, so boars are moving.

Thanks Dan, I’m new so I can’t PM yet. Where did you find those signs. Do bears come out to the clear cuts in saddle mountain unit? So far I tired the north fork public wolf creek shooting range area. A friend got one 2 years ago up there.
