NV is only state I apply as NR as I love the state and because they run FCFS, and it paid off. I got NR deer archery tag. Its NE part of state. I can only make it for 7-9 days. I can go now or last 5-6 days of season. I’ve looked at several variables but hoping to get anybody’s 2 cents. I plan to reach out to get bio input too.
Also want to take this opportunity to say how much I respect a lot of you guys on this site.

I love chasing velvet mulies, so I would go sooner than later for that reason alone. If the season ends in the rut (you didn’t say, but I doubt it), that would be my only reason to not go early.

Go now, the earlier the better. Find springs or water up high, bucks should be very visible first hour of light. If you are just wanting a deer look for water sources in the mid elevations checkered in with private, should be plenty. Find the water, find the shade, find the deer. Good luck.
