Here's some bulls we found out scouting a while ago... The middle bull appears to be an older bull... Probably going downhill. Not a monster, but a sweet bull!

What do you think he would score? Would you shoot him on a LE rifle hunt? LE archery hunt??

Yes I would shoot the bull in the middle on a LE tag, unless I had something much bigger picked out. He's got good length on his tines(main beams are a little short) and he has decent width. He also has a bit of growing still to do. As for score, I'd guess him to be between 345 and 365, but I'm not an expert.

Edit: just saw you are hunting Nevada. I'd try really hard to find a bigger bull if it is a LE unit in Nevada, only after deciding he is the best in the area would I take him.

I would put that bull at around 360 which is a great bull. I'm not familiar with the area so I can't answer if this bull would be a shooter or not. Saying that there are only a hand full of tags that I would consider passing a 360 class bull myself.

You guys must be seeing something I'm not. I would not shoot the middle bull on an LE rifle hunt and would only shoot it on an LE archery hunt if I had never shot something in that caliber (which I haven't).
I would have a hard time seeing that bull go over 320, and would guess it around 310 myself.
Before I get blasted, I'm not the best at scoring, but I have seen a 310 bull with similar rack but bigger 4th's go for 308".

I would definitely be looking for something better in Nevada.

What you are willing to take is highly dependent on what you have taken in the past and what you think the potential of the area is... For some NV units a 315 bull might be a good trophy, but in other units you should be able to find bigger bulls pretty consistently. As hard to come by as NV elk tags are, I would be hunting my butt off to find a bigger one, but if that's the best you find then you can feel good about notching your tag on him.

The first time I didn't take the time to really put numbers on the points and talley them up just figured it looks like a 360 class bull to me. I looked at it again and put some numbers to it which I think would be pretty close the only difference really is the right side G5 is a bit short but I think you would make up for it on a couple of the numbers that I have here.

G1 17
G2 16
G3 18
G4 19
G5 8
Main Beam 52
Mass 30
Total 160

Add both sides 320 and then give it a 40 spread which it could be a little more and you have 360 on the nose. I may be off but I think this would be pretty close.
