Trying to decide what bullet to use for elk. Noslers or Bergers. Had really good luck with accubonds out of other rifles.

I shoot 180gr Berger hybrids in my 7prc. I haven’t killed an elk with them but from what I’ve seen on game I have 0 intention of switching bullets when I get around to bringing that rifle to the elk woods.

I'm still a bit old school—I prefer a bonded bullet for elk, and I like Accubonds. Right or wrong, I feel like it gives me a greater margin of safety if something goes wrong with shot placement, like hitting bone. More importantly, my shots on elk can range from up close to really long distances. Frangible bullets like the Berger or ELD-X tend to be less effective at closer ranges. That said, the most important thing is to choose whatever shoots most accurately out of your rifle.
