Just some pics of a hunt I guided late September this year this is northern BC fly in hunt the client was from the states I won't post any pics of him.
The weather was typical borderline whether we should really even be up there was a 36 hour stretch holed up in the tent. We had Nanny's and kids pretty close Billy was a drainage over he showed himself first night but it would be a couple day's till we could move on him...weather was not bad day three so we made a run on him and as our luck held we were able to spot him again moving up the mnt...it was probably abut three hours to break over and look down into the basin...he was set up well kinda like a big muley would ..there are plenty of wolves in this country the goats are never far from and edge....been all in the open we got the Billy nervous at 350 yards but we sat down got still and he settled after maybe 40 minutes..this is when my hunter was able to slip away slow and after an hour and a half he had closed the distance to within 140 yards he made a great shot....it is a real privilege to guide a real hunter for many are not so much. Course there was all the pics and preparation for packing out to do and by the time I had that all done it was raining...and it kept up for 6 hour pack out as to be expected..
never far from blueberries/huckleberries
can you see my tent??
