North Slope Late August

What do you all think of a 20° sleeping bag for a 10 day North Slope caribou hunt the last weeks of August? It's a Thermarest Questar 20 in mint condition. Bought new, used it once, never stored stuffed in a sack.

I'll also mention I'm bringing Stone Glacier Grumman down pants and jacket as well as Kuiu Kenai synthetic so I'm not worried about safety as much as sleeping comfortably. I know everyone runs different temperatures too. Just looking for your opinion if it was you.

I've never used anything more than a 20 degree bag in the Brooks that time of year, north or south, and wouldn't take anything more personally. It does depend on how the brand rates their bag and whether they use comfort ratings or survival ratings though. That time of year can be warm or cold but a good 20 bag is plenty of sleeping bag.

I just saw you posted a photo of your bag. That bag should be called a 32 degree bag since that's the comfort ratings. If you can afford to, I would upgrade. But if not, wear your down gear in the bag if it gets cold.

Side note: I have your knives open in my browser and am getting ready to order one of your Magnacut models. I think the Serac I never knew you guys sold so many other products till I got on the site!

So much for honesty I might upgrade it when I place my order. I'm a cold sleeper so don't want to play around and be miserable

Ha! Wasn't trying to sell you anything, just trying to help you out! Thermarest is a good brand but their sleeping bags arent being made for the tip of the spear use case. their pads are top notch though.
