North Idaho spring bear delay

Last year was a lot hotter this time of the year I feel like the Established Baits this year will not get hit till maybe the last couple weeks of May. Is anybody else experiencing this kind of slow activity at the bait sites this year. It’s still kind of cold and just feels different .

Although the rain has put a damper on some of my hunting plans I am loving it based on how dry we have been. I don’t know about baiting, but last year was the first we didn’t glass a bear in our honey hole. Last week we saw a sow with two cubs and a nice boar that just gave us the slip. I would say this spring is looking up, in my spot anyways.

Normally I would have started my baits last weekend. right now I can’t get to my best site, and probably won’t be able to for another week or two. Gonna be a late year, hopefully they won’t be rubbed to bad when I finally get to hunt in June.
