Norma vs Nosler brass

Norma makes some if not all of Nosler's brass. Nosler sorts and preps it more but that's it. I'm not a huge fan of Norma but it's what I shoot with in my main hunting rifle. My list in order is Lapua , Winchester that I know will need work and culling but is tough and cheap , Norma which is very consistent but soft pocketed , and then the rest. With Nosler you are just paying double for Norma that rarely needs much work anyway.

I would agree with Shrek. I purchased some Nosler because I could not get my usual Norma. The Nosler did have nicer primer pockets and necks were champered but accuracy is the same. Lapua would always be my first choice if using a caliber its available in. Winchester seems to be pretty good if sorted. My WSM Winchester brass is very very consistent.

Aren't the flash holes in Norma brass drilled?? Do they drill the flash holes for the Nosler brass they make or is Nosler punched? That might be the only difference...

A good friend of mine who is a machinist and metallurgist told me that my nosler brass was almost identical to my hornady brass and that he wouldn't be surprised if it was coming out of the same factory. I was told quality wise it was close to Lapua and Norma (which I also own plenty of, shoot nothing but Lapua brass in my 308) but just a c-hair or so short.
