Non baiting bwca bear hunt

Going into the BWCA on a black bear hunt next week. Canoe in backcountry archery trip. It will be filmed. Looking for last minute tips on bears that can’t be baited. We have predator calls and scented candles, this is our first bear hunt however.

What are the bait stipulations/regulations? Can you use liquid smoke? Sounds challenging. Acorns are dropping like crazy right now, not sure what other food sources you would encounter up there.

Liquid smoke can be used.
