I have two 30/38x WA MC (not DS) eyepieces and only really need one. One (on the right) is used, the other (on the left) is new, with a box and lens covers. Ideally I'd like to trade one of them for a like condition 24/30x WA MC eyepiece. LMK if you'd like to trade. Otherwise, the used eyepiece is for sale for $175 shipped, buyer pays any fees. Glass is clean on both. These are great lenses.

What size fieldscope are you using? This eyepiece is especially useful with 50 & 60mm scope bodies but is really good for the 78/82 as well. I'll take some phone pics through it and post them up for you.
I have both the 50 and the 60. I have a 16/24/30x DS eyepiece already and it's spectacular but it is pretty large. I also have an adapted Pentax 1.25 eyepiece that I use on my 50. Just not sure how much better this eyepiece would be than the Pentax. I would be using it on the 50 to get a 20x spotter. I don't feel I need a 30x eyepiece for the 60 after using the 24x DS.

Those eyepieces you have are like hen's teeth. So darn hard to find. That's why I'm so tempted.

Cool. How are you adapting the Pentax? One advantage of these, depending on your adapter, is that they would potentially be waterproof with your scopes.

I found a guy on BirdForum who made adapter rings for conventional 1.25" astronomy eyepieces to fit the Fieldscopes. The Pentax wasn't as easy to adapt as most standard astronomy eyepieces, but it is a very high quality eyepiece, is fairly small, and it gives me a good 16-18x with a large field of view. The 50 is my pack scope and rides under the seat of my truck all year. The 60 I use for survey work, digiscoping and use from the truck when I'm out west. That DS eyepiece is big, bit it also has a massive field of view.

I was looking for these eyepieces for a while - they are awfully rare - but I think I'm happy with the combo I have now. I'm pretty sure there was someone else looking for one of these eyepieces. You might check the optics classifieds and see who that was. We posted WTB's just days apart.
