Sold Nikon Fieldscope EDIII

Selling a Nikon Fieldscope 60mm. This is the EDIII-A version that is waterproof, has ED glass, and angled eyepiece. Comes with wide 30x fixed eyepiece, lens caps, and soft case (zippered bag, not the stay-on cover).

I couldn't decide between the 60mm and the bigger 82mm, so I bought one of each. I decided to just go with the 82mm boat anchor and so I don't need this one. There are no scratches on the lenses that I can find using a bright light and magnifier. The image is bright and crisp, and the FOV with the 30x is pretty remarkable. Very wide and useable out towards the edges. A zoom eyepiece could be used instead, but not included.

Overall condition is very good, except some minor scratches on the scope body (see image). Has retractable sunshade and eyecup that extends.

Note - the tripod adapter shown in the images is not included.

Almost hate to tell anyone how good the ED82 and EDIII are! I bought one of each after reading about them here, and at BF.

Update - taking this off the market for now.

After performing some optical tests on my 82mm primary scope, I discovered some optical performance issues with it. During similar tests this 60mm seemed to test perfect, therefore it will become the primary scope until I get the 82mm resolved. If all goes well, the 60mm might be for sale again.
