This is a NIB Leica Visus 2.5-10x42 Illuminated #4 reticle. These were a follow on and improved line after the ERI. They had better illumination, and they added the easy to clean hydrophobic Aqua Dura lens coatings. This scope has great glass as one would expect that will get you way past legal light. The reticle is the easy to use and bold 4a. The illumination has 9 settings. 1-5 are for night/low light. 6-9 are for daytime, it daylight bright in full sun. The elevation and windage clicks are positive.
What is rare about this scope is that it was sent back to Leica when new for installation of their excellent locking low profile BDC elevation dial that has a zero stop built in it. The dial is super easy to zero and lock, very positive clicks. For about $80 you can buy a set of 12 turret rings that leica sells for this with different turret dials, called the "Leica BDC Direct dial set, 12 rings". The cost for the turret install was $350.
Scope is flat new in the box and never mounted, only mark in it is some handling on battery cover. Has paperwork, 2 sets of leica ruber cloves, no kidding, lol, and lens clothe.
