Hello everyone, I'm a left handed back country hunter and I have been on the hunt for a do everything rifle.
This might be the ticket.
Left handed options in the 7mm prc and 6.5 RPM. I like the paint better than the apex.
5.7 lbs in 6.5 RPM with #1 profile barrel
6.8 lbs in 7mm PRC with #2 profile barrel
Vs the Apex
6.5 lbs in 6.5 RPM with #3 profile barrel?
Do you think there is a tangible benefit to the #3 profile barrel? Maybe less heat sensitivity?
If you had the choice between waiting for the new weatherby highline or picking up a weatherby apex what direction would you go and why?
I have a 6.5-300 already and it has been great. I'm interested in the 7mm prc as a hornady supported option with ammo availability likely to increase. From what I have seen, weatherby usually supports their own cartridges well, but the prices tend to stay high.
