I came across Rokslide a couple months ago while researching some new equipment I'm going to be investing in, and have enjoyed the forum. Seems to be some good camaraderie amongst guys from all over the country. I don't see a large WA following, but I'm sure they're around.
My Dad and Uncles started hunting when they were in their 20's, so I was raised in a hunting family. I've since brought a couple friends into the sport as well, and both are accomplished hunters now. We have been getting more and more into pack in hunting the last few years, and are seeing much more success because of it. I'm hoping to get well set up by next summer to do some serious back packing and try out some minimalist backcountry set ups. Looking forward to picking up some of the great tips and experience I've seen on here. Heres a sampling of some of our animals from the last few years. The Blacktail was my first Blacktail in probably 15 years, always hunt mule deer during the general season. I didn't see the monster 4 pt that was with him until after I dropped my buck, but it's ok, he'll be there next year. Was nice to finally take an animal close to home.
