New Tikka Ring Option from Warne

They look nice, wonder how durable they are? What the hell is magnafusion alloy?

Happy to do that when I can. I just ordered them last night -- and my rifle is waiting on a custom stock that will take a few weeks.

I wish I could remember if I bought the HyperLite for my wifes muzzleloader last year. Anyway that clamp piece snapped on me when I was tightening them.

Warne's instructions for these rings is 18 in/lbs for the base screws and 18 in/lbs for the cap screws. All without any thread locking compound. I am not confident that they will hold zero when installed that way.

Only the front ring comes with a recoil pin, not both rings. And only two pin positions, not three each.

I'll keep buying UM Tikka rings.

I've had them in my cart since last night trying to buy them, but the 18 in/lbs for the bottom screws keeps stopping me. That just doesn't seem right. I don't mind 18 up top. If their material is so weak it can't do more than 18 on the bottom then I don't have confidence in their grip.

For sure.
