Going to be replacing the Gas string on my Hoyt likely with another gas this offseason. It’s been a few years since I’ve swapped and wanted to see if there’s any other brands out there that are better now. I’ve heard gas has been hit or miss lately.

My go to is Threadz. They build high quality strings and cables and get them out fast.

I had one set of GAS stings crap out on me two years ago with bad serving separation. That said, I still went hunting and killed with it and they made it right... sent a new set of strings immediately for free.

Both of my bows have GAS Strings on them and they are fantastic. SystmX on my Lift helped it pick up about 5 FPS

I use gas strings. I think some people have gotten frustrated with them lately because of their turnaround times.....but its hunting season too sooooooo.......yeah lol

I just put a set of Gas System X on my ST2 35, and they are fine. They came along with a bow I bought, so I thought I would swap them on the bow since I had them. But usually, JBK builds all my strings now. Jeff is a great guy, and his build quality is outstanding. He also offers a 24 month guarantee against creep, peep rotation and serving separation. The last set I had built from him were Mercury 2, and I was very happy. Mike at Catfish Customs also builds a very nice set. One time I had some strings built by SRS Archery. I reached out to him for another reason, and at the time I needed a string set. He told me he was a string builder, so I gave them a shot. They are a fantastic set, and he was cheaper than all of them.
