New Remington 700

Looking around on gunbroker it appears that Remington 700’s are being produced again. Has anyone had a chance to put some rounds down range with a new production gun? Hopefully the quality control issues are resolved.

I’m waiting on the new Model Seven. The M700 have been hittthe shelves for alittle while now, but haven’t seen any of the Model Sevens yet.

With the other proven options out there now, I'm sad to say I wont purchase a new Remington until they can consistently quit selling junk.

I’ve bought several new Remington rifles and shotguns before the last bankruptcy and have never got a bad one. I won’t hesitate to buy a new one when they come out. I haven’t found anything that I like as much as I do Remingtons.

i bought a custom shop 700 a few years back and was way less than overwhelmed with accuracy, finish and customer service.

All my Remmy's out shoot everything else in the safe.

I bought three factory Remingtons and they have all been tack drivers. The only thing that could be picked on with two of mine is the primary extraction but I will also say that I’ve never personally seen the big fuss about it either. I’ve never had a case not extract like it should.

My preBK Remys are a mixed bag. Some particularly poor 870 QC issues. I would have to be convinced to go back to them, given the issues.

Dang it, man. Hate that you were unlucky. I setup 4 870 compacts in 20 ga for turkey guns that were bought new before the bankruptcy. All of them worked flawlessly and shot very tight patterns with RSF chokes and tss. Everyone was very pleased with the results.
