New PRS shooter, MDT chassis issues

New shooter about to go to my second match. So I’m running a tikka ctr 20” 6.5 cm in a mdt acc gen 2. I have encountered two issues with it so far, first I can’t seem to get it to balance with the factory barrel. I have the internal weights and 2 externals as far forward as I can mount them and a Harris bipod out front and it still is balancing right on the mag well with an area 419 brake. If I a run my suppressor, it balances about 3” infront of the mag well which seems much much better from my practicing sessions. Would you run the can and give up some recoil management in exchange for the better balance? Second issue is this is my first experience with center fire chassis system. This thing feels like banging two pots together when it goes off. The rifle still hammers, everything is tight, but the vibrations are nuts compared to the wood stocked rifles/McMillans I have always used in the past. Is this normal? I have ordered the “jellies” from mdt and I’m hoping they make it in before the next match. Is there anything else that can be done if these dampeners don’t fix the twang?

Balance is going to be tough with a light and short barrel.

A 24” MTU or heavier will settle things down quite a bit.

I stopped using brakes for PRS a couple years ago. A straight suppressor is a disadvantage but if you’re a beginner I’m not sure it’s going to make as much of a difference; I’d take the setup that you can get steady easy and break good shots with.

I don’t notice any twang when shooting, even on a similar setup to you, but I’m shooting a gen 1 acc
