New phone vs replace the battery

Just curious to see if any Roksliders have ever replaced or had their cell battery replaced. Pending I can even do it/have it done is it worth while?

I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra, phone is in good shape other than the battery that can't hold a charge like it used too. I'd like to get a new phone or replace the battery before hunting this year but wanted to get some feedback first. I don't want it to be like the old aftermarket laptop batteries that were 50/50 hot garbage. I've seen battery kits ranging from $20-$90. And advertised battery replacements ranging from $50-$300.

I had mine replaced, but it was simultaneously with a screen replacement, and on an S23 Ultra.

You typically can get a pretty good rebate turning in an old phone towards a new one.

Yeah I haven't even asked what my turn in value on this phone would be. It's old enough I assumed not much.

I have had batteries pulse replace the battery in several IPhones. It cost around $90 and I am estimating the replacement performance to be about 85% as good as the original.

I was just looking at them last night. They claim to use OEM batteries so they may not be too bad of a deal.

I wouldn't assume that. I would check. I've been surprised several times.

I'll have to pop in next time I'm in town. I hate going to the cell phone store they're as bad as car salesmen. 🤣

i have replaced a few batteries (for an iphone) for something like $70-90 and it always worked well. also, you might consider buying a used replacement phone instead if you don't like the battery replacement options. i have used Gazelle a few times and always had good results. I see they have Samsung S21 Ultras for $230-330 depending on options, with a 30-day warranty (plenty to know if something is wrong). no referral link: https://buy.gazelle.com/collections...=&filter.v.price.lte=&filter.v.availability=1
