Pulled a Kodiak tag in the draw and would like to get an illuminated reticle scope for the 338 am I’ll be taking. Looking at the trijicon accupoint 1-6x24 or the 3-9x40 green dot mill dot crosshairs. Any others I should be looking at?

I've got/had several Trijicons for hunting big game including big bears. I prefer the post/triangle reticle green although I have +s in green also. I'm currently shopping for 1-4x in green post for spring hunting in the interior. Eye relief and mounting of the scope are critical for your purpose. Most guides aren't advocates of long shots and most prefer < 100 yards. What area?

I pulled 241 red lake, it’s a bit more open then most areas on Kodiak from what I’ve been told. Definitely planning on limiting shots to 250. I like this gun and don’t necessarily want to make it strictly a close range gun.

I read a few people believe lvpo scopes are little darker even with the exit pupil being the same as other variable powered scopes have you found this to be true? That’s one of my hangups deciding between the two.
