New Mexico Unit 49

Drew the Archery Mule Deer in Unit 49 this year. Not my first choice but why not try somewhere new. I've hunted Unit 45. Any areas of particular interest in Unit 49 i should focus on? I've been hiking around the Angel Fire area, of course i wasn't hunting so i really wasn't paying attention to what i should have been. I will do my share of E-scouting before getting my boots on the ground in July. the hunt is September. Just looking for good starting points from those with Experience. thank you

Any updates to NM 45 or 49 early archery muley? Got 45 this year, have been running into guys saying to look in the highest peaks. Not sure, seen other posts about lower country being more popular. Checked all the way to pecos falls, saw maybe 1 deer track. Too many cows and elk. Herds of 12-30
