Drew this tag as a 3rd choice and was wondering if anyone has recommendation. Im headed there in January for late season. I’m from Ohio and won’t have time to scout but from the looks of OnX the northern part seems to have good cover for archery but also a lot of private land. I’d take any info possible. Yes I grew up in New Mexico but was primarily in unit 31. I never have been over towards unit 29. I’m just looking for a decent deer and awesome time since I live up north now and don’t get out west much

Don't discount the dry arroyos through the flats. They are full of desert willow and mesquite cover. I spent two days chasing a bachelor herd in Septemberin that stuff.
