Buddy got an elk tag for Unit 6c in NM. Going in early October for muzzleloader season. Temps historically look like 60-70s during the day and 30-40s when the sun is down. We will be truck camping for 7 days and striking out a few miles every day.
All I really have is UA camo base top and everything else is mid to heavier weight stuff for sit hunting in the midwest. I've been looking at merino 120-145 base layers and the Kuiu Peleton stuff as well. I've never had merino base layers and I heat up fast when moving so not sure what to expect or to go with the Peleton.
Thoughts?
