Hey Guys
I have only just discovered that you can get OTC tags for Barbary sheep now in NM, which is pretty exciting as I can never afford a guided hunt. I am looking for any advice on these beasts in terms of OTC tags, where and how to hunt. Obviously Im not expecting someone to give me their secret spot X but any advice would be greatly appreciated,.
I am looking at October(after Elk/Mulies in Colorado) and will be bow hunting(trying at least) with my friend from Colorado. We have been looking at units 31,33,34 but have not narrowed it down much beyond that.
Im not afraid of steep/rugged terrain or a hard walk in.
We would happily hunt with anyone else who is thinking of chasing these guys this year. Due to me being in New Zealand scouting out areas will be a little tricky haha.
I am willing to do a "swap a hunt" type deal if anyone is keen aswell(I am a guide here, mainly doing Tahr/Chamois hunts)
Thanks in advance
