Been reading about Arcteryx knee pads on here and elsewhere for a while and finally decided to buy some. Couldn't find the crocidile (brown) anywhere. Finally found some at a place called Berg's Ski Shop in Eugene, OR. In stock, $1 less than anywhere and FREE shipping. Thought somebody might be interested.

The fit it perfect and don't slide down my legs like most other brands!

Arc'teryx Knee Caps - Unisex

ETA: ordered these at 5:30pm Wed and they arrived in N TX today!!! Awesome

Don't have any experience with those, but I am very satisfied with the arcteryx pads. Super comfortable and stay where I put them.

Thanks so much for this ... I have a pair in black, but had been holding out for a pair in the brown. Ordered straight away - cheers!

Sorry 'bout that, Bunny ... looks like they still have black, though. You can always grab some and touch 'em up with paint! ;)

Bringing this back up, just ordered some brown arcteryx from Berg's for $59. Pretty salty for knee pads, but I'm hoping this will be a buy once cry once situation.

Well ... being kneepads, if you use them a lot, then they're not buy once. But these are very sweet and work well!

Yep, good point.

And, I just replied to another thread about over-spending on gear...just days after buying $60 knee pads. Oh, well. These arcteryx showed up today (quick shipping from Berg's) and they're pretty sweet. I bounced off the floor a few times and they seem to work like knee pads should. We'll see how they do in the desert.

nrh6.7 I tried messaging you back but it say you have to many messages and need to clear space?... anyways call me about the ASAT pants or send me your number. 206-595-4215. Jeff

i have a pair of cheap camo ones. they come with two caps. a soft cap and a hard shell cap. naturally, i stuck on the hard ones. i took them to AZ and crawled around. you cant quietly. to get sub 50 yards of a couse, you have to be quiet. i now rock the soft caps. waaaay quieter. surely wont last that long, but if i could ever arrow a couse..whatever, i dont care if they rip going in..

that clacking crawling with the hard caps was loud to me. on rocks. hell my rubber boots are loud..i put Sneeky feet booties over them.

X2 on Black Diamond Telekneesis knee pads!!

Awesome pads.

I can drop straight down on rock w/o a problem, lightweight, easy on/off, don't smell like plastic and don't get hot.

idcuda: Sorry I missed this post.

Don't sweat it! Knee pads, while kinda daggy, are actually 'performance' gear, I reckon: they need to fit well, be easily adjustable, not slip, be field serviceable (to an extent), be comfortable and on and on.

Your post actually prompted me back then to order a back-up pair, so good came from it!
