New Kifaru duplex lite/ultralite vs bikini frame

Is there any benefit of one over the other? Weight wise the bikini frame looks to be quite a bit lighter than even the ultralite. Anyone had both in their hands?

I have the UL now and had the bikini. I would say the new frames will have a lot more rigidity. They do feel more solid. The bikini though would probably feel more natural when drawing as it will conform to your body better. The new one would also give you the ability to run a carbon arrow stay vs the composite stay. I really really like the way my UL carries though.

Sweet, thanks for the info. Been looking to pull the trigger on one or the other, just trying to figure out which way I want to go. And get some solid real world comparisons.

I think you'd be looking at spending about an extra $150 or so to get into a new frame. If that is not too big of a deal then I would get a new one. I have almost 10 miles on mine and at 50# I can barely tell it is back there. The bikini did not carry quite this good. Still awesome, but not quite as good as the new ones in my opinion. If it comes down to say a new frame or putting that money into better optics, I'd say invest that into better optics and roll with a bikini for a while. It is still a super light frame that will serve you well with 100# and under loads. The fact that you can put together a whole kifaru pack for about $350 is a steal. (Bikini and say an argali).

Yeah, I'll probably go with a bikini frame for a while like you say. There seem to be a few popping up since the new frame is out! Thanks for the info!
