New guy, West Texas

New guy from West Texas. This site is a great resource and hopefully I can help contribute some. I do some competitive long range shooting (PRS) and have been hunting since I could but only down here in Texas and in Missouri for deer, duck, turkey and varmints. I am an Army veteran as well. I am starting to get into Elk hunting now, went last year to help spot and pack during rifle season in Colorado and drew an archery tag this year. My friend has been pretty into Elk hunting for quite some time so have been using him as resource as well and he drew archery tag for same unit so we will be going together this year.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who contributes to this site, makes it much easier for people line me just getting into something new.
