Just came across this site while doing some research for a 3rd season CO elk hunt this year, but I've been posting on LRH and MuleyMadness for a few years.
I hunt mostly deer in Colorado when we can get drawn. Started going in 96 at 14 with my dad, and grandpa started the tradition up there in the late 60s. We missed the draw for deer this year, so I'm taking two of my friends to Colorado for a DIY elk hunt 3rd season. I've never focused on elk before, and both of my buddies are big game virgins so it should be a good challenge, but we are giving it everything we have. Planning on backpacking in a few miles for base camp, then hunt out from there.
Aside from all that I do a little bird hunting around here, and try to get to Mexico for a pheasant hunt every fall. I'm also planning a Aoudad hunt in Texas for this spring, free range sheep on a 10,000 acre private ranch.
When I'm not spending my time hunting its on classic 60s Ford cars and with the family.
Great site and I'm looking forward to learning more here.
