I stopped by Sportsman's W#arehouse to see if they had any of the Ikka Superlites in .300 WSM and saw that the basic T3 was $100 off of regular price for Father's Day. They did have one of these in stock, and for the $250 delta over the SL, I could handle the extra weight. This one will get a brake, cerakote and a dipped stock over the summer, which will give me some time to find some powder.

My tikka t3 300 wsm likes reloader 19 and hornady SSTs and it likes to be pushed hard. A limbsaver recoil pad is a must buy. I don't run a muzzle break but using the 150 gr made recoil pretty manageable

I have a Limbsaver on my T3 .308,so I definitely will get one post haste.I'm looking to run either Barnes 168 TTSX or 175 LRX.I'll pull the modded bolt stop out of the .308 for long COAL loads.

The barnes 168 were the second best shooting bullet I tried.
Heres the 150 ssts at 300 yards and the rifle packs well. If you are going with a 50mm scope the talley lightweight mediums work rings work great. The warne mediums puts the scope practically touching the barrel.

I had a T3 lite in 300 WM that I used in AK for 3 years.

Great gun and accurate for the money.

Muzzle breaking is not necessary--just shoot it a bunch get used to it. The recoil was not anything crazy.

I hate muzzle breaks as the added bark is just ridiculous.

Put a good recoil pad on it and give it a try w/o the brake. You might be surprised.

Good luck.
