New from western MT

Lurked for quite awhile, truly enjoy the wealth of knowledge here. Found myself researching rifles and gear and continually coming back to the site, so figured I'd make it official. Just spent my first fall in MT as a resident after moving here last year for a move to the Forest Service. Growing up a native Oregonian, this state does have quite the incredible opportunities for getting into the woods. Look forward to continuing to see what all I can do in Montana as we slide into ski/icefishing season. Was able to harvest a cow this year in the central part of the state, and here's my first whitetail from a little further west, taken with a bubba'd argentine mauser in '06, handloaded 180 partition.

Good job on tagging a cow. I just got back from a hunt out near Gibson Reservoir. Got one cow in the hunting group I was with. ill definitely be out there again. hopefully with better luck.

Very nice, I'm from Hood River but spent 5 years in school in Bend. Great place, awhile back anyway. Like the Montana vibes a lot more these days.

Yeah, have great memories of Central Oregon......pretty much a shithole now. Glad I'm up here now too
