Stole this from one of the First Lite facebook pages. The Hushin instagram has some vids of Eric Chesser wearing one. Gonna have to try it out I’m sure.

I got a message back from Paul at FHF. He said that pending some final field testing this fall, the new harness should launch early spring.

I found one that is made in the USA and MIGHT be an improvement on forward opening.

Interesting. I wonder how easy the operation is? I'm not seeing a pull tab so I'd imagine it could be a two hand operation. Need to find a pouch for a wind checker to attach to it as well. I'd like to get hands on one.

I think there's a pouch on the pocket attachment thing. I saw them on Instagram when I was looking for rangefinder pouches for the last review I did. They have a video on there showing how it works, but their website needs better pics/video for sure.

Well that Cache Pocket is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for to run on the bottom of my Marsupial. Thanks for spending my $ lol.

Ranger Green is your thing. I am hoping someone ends up with one of the harnesses because they look pretty svelte.

1 of the thing I like about the current FHF harness is that it doesnt have those 'walls' on the sides and makes getting the binos in and out much easier. I prefer the non enclosed marsupial for that reason, but not the magnets. But Marsupial makes their harnesses on the larger side of their size range, where FHF seems to be more minimal and wraps around the binos much better. Itll be interesting to see how this one functions, but Im done with FHF.

Ive been using the FHF for a long time. Ive tried many other harnesses and none of them work as well as the fhf. But their customer service is nearly non existent, and now the quality control is at least suspect. I ordered a rg rf 2.0 pouch a while back, and had the 1.0 on another harness. I liked the 2.0 better, but the small cb was out of stock for a while. It came back in stock last week and I grabbed one. Got it in, and the fastening/molle system on the back is sewn a full inch lower that on the RG I already had. It literally wraps around the bottom of the rf pouch. It dumps forward in every position. Completely unusable.

I spend 5 months in 2021 trying to get a hold of them, leaving voicemails, etc to BUY new straps for the frayed ones on my first FHF. Not even trying a warranty claim. I just wanted to buy them and couldnt. My FHF harnesses now have marsupial straps on them, because they do sell them and they do have great customer service. With this rf pouch, Im just eating the $ loss and when/if these harnesses ever crap out, thats that and Ill have to go with another brand.

This catamount harness looks interesting though. Has the same compact/minimal style as the Pro M, but with a forward opening cover. It looks like it needs some kind of tab on the back, or a rod in the back of the cover to pull it over the top. I might try one of these out though. Interesting design.

Just for picture ref of the fhf 2.0 rf harnesses. RG was the first one I got, CB I got this week. Both size small. You can see its not even close. The pouch dumps forward even without a rf inside. Useless.

I believe it is a stretch fabric that gets wrapped over the back of the harness.

Right, even in the video he has to make a swiping motion to peel it off, going back on it seems a bit smoother. Sew a rod, or extra carbon from cut arrows back there in the seam, with a pull tab in the middle and you can put it forward and over in the middle with 1 motion without having to peel it off. I may grab one because I like the compactness of that harness, and sewing a small diameter arrow and tab back there would be a simple mod.

Where did you find a video? I saw one a couple times but can't seem to find it again.

Sorry if its a dumb question, but how does that connect to the bottom of a marsupial?
