New Federal 6.5 PRC 140 gr Terminal Ascent

Looks like Federal announced a 6.5 PRC 140 grain terminal ascent offering. Anyone know if this will be replace the 130grain offering or when it may be readily available?

I always thought it was strange they started with 130gr for the PRC.

I’m looking to compare it to precision hunters for a new rifle and am wondering the difference on terminal ballistics between the 130gr. Mostly to give me some more warm and fuzzies for elk since I didn’t go with a bigger cartridge.

I used the 130 TA for a season on deer. They seemed to pencil through but all ended in dead deer. I switched to 140gr tipped fusion for my elk and it did awesome.

TA is just too hard if a bullet for me.

All within 200 yards.

It’s just a 95+% retention bullet. It was doing what it was designed to do. I like a little explosion.

Again all deer died. But here in southeast a deer running 100 yards can put it in some gnarly stuff.
