I shot three different ones, so it wasn't a "bad" one or anything like that. The shop owner heard it as well so we tried several things to make it lessen and it either stayed the same or got worse. I wasn't impressed, but they will sell like hot cakes I am sure.

i shot the Hoyt carbon turbo yesterday. 70 lb 29 inch draw. no "popping" sound for me. I thought the bow felt good in the hand and the cam felt very smooth to me with a solid back wall. I thought it handled great.

I don't put much weight on Nicks impression of the Versa Rest. He probably didn't tighten something down if the rest "fell apart" which I'd guess is a major exaggeration on his part. I had a few issues with things coming loose on the Versa Rest but each was 100% my responsibility. I've used and sold my QADS, AAE Pro Drop due to design faults in favor of the Versa Rest. The only downside to this rest is the cord that's used but in 18 months of shooting and busting brush I haven't had an issue.

I shot this bow and the Facktor for nearly two hours last week. How do you guys get over the "popping" sound the Carbon Spyder makes when you release? There is no way I could do it...

Do the 2013's (Carbon Element) make the same noise?

I am looking to put together a very lightweight/accurate bow for next year, but I also want it to be as quiet. The new Hoyts just don't do it for me...

I will say that with just a "shop" sight and a Whisker Biscuit on the Carbon Spyder, it was a tack driver and I wasn't even really doing my best. So it is an accurate bow, that's for sure.

I wasn't overly impressed with the draw cycle and rock hard back wall, but that's just because I am so used to my current set up.

Popping noise on the CS or the CS turbo? I haven't heard anything like that...I'll talk to Andrew but I shot the one he had set up and it was as smooth and quiet as my 2013 CM...of course this was about two weeks ago. As far as the draw cycle goes I felt the Z5 cam was about the same as the RKT with a better back wall. What are you currently shooting?
