new build in 6.5

I am in the process of deciding what I should do my next build in. Here is what I am looking for any help would be appriciated. this will be a rifle I will use for deer ,sheep , coyoties and in a pinch elk. Also my grand kids will be starting to go hunting with me in the next few years and this will be thear rifle to use. Also any reommendations on who to have this rifle built by would be helpfull.

I would look at the 260 Rem in a short action or a 6.5 x 55 Swedish mauser or 6.5-06 in a long action. You can do the swede in a short action but ive heard you can get a bit more out of them in a long action. I went with the 6.5-06 to get a little more umph so i would feel a little better if an elk presented itself. And brass is easily made and easy to find (270win brass necked down). I dont have alot of experience in building rifles but my research led me to the 06. enjoy the build!
