What is the best way to mount a set of Hawkins Precision rings to a Sako Finlight?

Got some help on another forum. If any one sees this in the future, Near Mfg makes a great rail to go on the Sako. Talked to the owner. He called 2 minutes after I sent him an email and one is on the way.

Yep, near rail is dandy. Easy peasy.

Previous poster is correct. Mr Near is super responsive and a hoot to chat with.

You have to pop into place with a hammer using a hard wood block. It stays put and has a set screw underneath. Then you slap whatever rings you like on it. Theoretically the more you shoot it, the tighter it should set up.

I have heard some people have had issues with a full rail (regardless of manufacturer) though because the Sako extractor is not super aggressive in throwing the brass clear. However, mine works fine.
