Good morning,

Got a doz bareshaft GT Pro Hunters in, the bushings fit just fine, but the nocks that come with them are garbage-8-12 broke trying to get the nock to push into the bushing.

ended up using Easton's nocks and the GT gold bushings, but a good amount of those nocks bent/broke as well and don't fly. the ones that do fit well fly awesome however.

The 6 pack of shafts I'd purchased from Sportsmans Warehouse already had the bushings and nocks installed, I shoot full length arrows so I didn't have to cut them-fly perfectly and I'm able to turn the nocks to problem.

The bare shafts with uninstalled bushings/nocks however-disaster.

Just wondering which companies nocks/bushings actually fit in the GT Pro Hunter 300 spine shafts? Thanks!

I always put a little bit of wax on the nock when inserting the nocks into the GT bushings. Still keeps a tight fit but inserting them is much easier and I don't tend to bend or break any. If you aren't wanting to use a gold tip nock an Easton G nock or Deep Six nock fit also. Bohning F nocks should fit as well.

When inserting the nocks into the bushings, do you just push them in with your hands or put them on some kind of surface?

It sounds like you have a technique problem. The wax should help. I usually push the nock into the bushing in a bit, set the nock on the center serving or end serving and push moderately. You need to be careful to push straight at the nock and not add side pressure.

We tried that nock tool deal, bother by putting the nock in the tool while it was on the counter and then pushing the bushing on, and also having the bushing in the arrow and trying to push the nock on. Either bent or broke each one.

Bad nocks?

No. I never try to push them in that way. Results in just what you had happen. Ill just kind of screw them in. Like I said use just a very small amount of wax. It works wonders.

It's kinda well known that these newer GT nocks fit extremely tight in those bushings. Wax makes it much easier. Use an insert too also.

The Easton G nocks aren't as tight and I too have heard that the DeepSix nocks fit good also and could be a little better than Eastons standard G nocks.
