I solved the issue by kicking the pack to the curb and bought a Exo K4. Their Customer service puts MR to shame

I have a Metcalf on the MT frame that squeaked around the plastic adjustment tool/support. I pulled it out and coated it lightly with Kenetrek beeswax boot treatment. Never a problem since.
