Well this year I hunted very hard in some high country that gets hunted to death in northern Utah. I have hunted this area a fair amount and never connected on a decent buck. This year I found a cool buck that I figured wouldn't be a bad one to remove from the herd seeing as he was a 2x3 with eyegaurds that was borderline mature! His bases are about 4.5 inches so I estimate him as a 3 year old but who knows! He died in an avalanche chute so steep that I could barely hike to get down to him. It was a 250 yard shot and he went down quick luckily! I shot him about 4.5 miles from my truck while hunting alone. My good friend came up and helped me get him out the next day and I was very grateful he did. I had hunted a few days of the muzzle loader hunt, 5 days on the archery hunt and 4 days on the rifle hunt so I was so grateful to finally put down a buck. I am so grateful to get to hunt these awesome critters!
