For me, the shooter, not bad. I don't notice it. Don't stand to the side, you will know it's a 300 win with a brake! It really makes the rifle a pleasure to shoot. Just wear hearing protection. They work better than the recoil hawg I had on my Browning 300 and my sons 90 degree side 4 ports on their 7 mm mags.
