I’m Looking for a Muzzle Brake for Kimber Montana 84L.
I have no prior experiences using brakes but I would like to settle the recoil on my .280ai.
I will take it to a gunsmith to have it threaded then I will do the install myself.
What’s everyone using for brakes that is SS and lightweight that does the job? Or any pictures of your kimbers wearing brakes

I have Kimbers proprietary brake on my 30-06 montana. Very pleased with it. Tames recoil significantly, not ridiculously loud either. No complaints on my end at all. Makes shooting a 7 pound all up rifle including scope very pleasant at the range.

I believe your barrel is threaded for 7/16x28 but you can buy an adapter from Kimber to convert to 5/8x24.
If you decide to stay with the 7/16x28 your options are pretty limited to Kimber's Montana or Adirondack brakes, unless you can get a smith to spin you up something custom.

If that’s your Montana on the right, does it have a custom barrel on it? It looks fluted.

I put an APA Micro Bastard on my 7 mag and it is a good little brake for the smaller contoured barrels! I was very impressed with how much it tamed the recoil.
