Planning on Mule Deer / Whitetail combo for 2021 and priority is a Mule with my son. Looking at Nebraska as an option for both.
We will be travelling from the other side of the world (Australia) so being non residents / aliens I think our only option would be over the counter permits or possibly landowners permits. I need some education on what states it will be possible for us to hunt with an outfitter.
Any info will be greatly appreciated, Just need somewhere to start looking.
Cheers
John

Are you guys going to want to do anything else? Sight seeing, national parks, that kind of thing?

I live in the US and always look for interesting stuff to see when taking trips - this past season was indian writings and old settler stuff. Last trip out I saw a couple national parks. Just neat.

You want whitetails and mule deer. Nebraska, MT, WY, CO, ND, SD, TX, AZ can all fit the bill. Might be a few others.

Best is to contact a few outfitters - or use a service such as Cabelas (biggest name I can think of) to help plan your trip.

I did TX this past season Mule deer and whitetail with one license purchase, game rich environment with cool encounters. Scottie Campbell at Top O Texas is a great contact for both but Muleys are limited.

Eastern Colorado...especially if you are ok with landowner tag and outfitter...Muleys are ridiculous there if you have access to the private
